My first blog post! This is both exciting and terrifying….probably more terrifying if I’m 100% honest. My name is Meghan Garcia and I used Animoto to make a short introduction video about myself, here’s the link . Ahh! I’m so glad that link thing worked. Phew. When it comes to technology I feel like a dinosaur. This was one aspect in my student teaching that I was always struggling to incorporate into my lessons. My go-to for technology was either PowerPoints (which are beginner level at best) or YouTube videos. Towards the end of the year I went to a class about a more “modern” PowerPoint product called Sway, but after a few attempts at trying to get it to work I gave up.

I am so relieved that this is one of our last classes, because I feel like I will have a higher probability of retaining the information and implementing it in my classroom. There are so many technology resources at our disposal as educators and it is to both our students benefit and our own to incorporate it into the classroom.
